Sierra College Women’s Soccer Crowned Big 8 Conference Champions After Dramatic PK Victory
Rocklin, CA — The Sierra College Women’s Soccer team has captured the Big 8 Conference Tournament Championship, defeating Folsom Lake College in a dramatic penalty-kick finish on Friday night at Falcon Stadium. After a tense 90 minutes of scoreless regulation, the Wolverines prevailed 4–3 in kicks from the mark to secure the conference crown.
Sierra goalkeeper Alexia Holdren stood out in the shootout, recording two clutch saves.

Throughout regulation, outshooting Folsom Lake 7–3 and consistently applying pressure in the attacking third. Despite multiple threats both teams entered overtime and ultimately penalties locked at 0–0.
With the victory, Sierra secures the Big 8 Conference Tournament title and the #2 overall seed heading into postseason play.
