Coming into the day Sierra had to defeat Delta College and the College of the Redwoods to have its share of the Championship and did not disappoint, blanking Delta and Redwoods for the co-championship with Feather River.
For the second year in a row, Sierra College Beach has the top pair in the conference. Meghan Merlino and Haley Biles cruised through bracket play and met their conference foe in Howard and Hampton from Feather River College in the winner take all final. In a thrilling 3-set match, Merlino and Biles secured the victory, and with it the 2019 Big 8 Conference Pairs Championship.
