2018 marks Cortney’s 9th year with the Wolverine coaching staff where she serves as the pitching coach. Cortney also works with catchers and infielders.
The former catcher/corner ended her playing career with the 2009 Wolverine Softball team, finishing second in the state. Prior to her intercollegiate career, Cortney spent three years on the Colfax High School coaching staff while coaching travel ball. She also volunteered as Co-Assistant Commissioner of the NorCal Girls Fastpitch board for six years running the Winterball program. Cortney also coaches a 14U Foothill Gold team with her husband. In addition to her coaching role at Sierra, Cortney is also the Supervisor of Residence Housing at Sierra College.
Cortney is a Colfax High School and Sierra College Alumni. She earned her bachelors degree in Health Sciences from Arizona State University and is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Kinesiology at California Baptist University.
Cortney resides in Foresthill with her husband Brett, and their two children, Kennedie and Rylee.
