Coach John Hilton joined Coach Noonan's staff at Sierra in 2017 and serves as the program's Defensive Coordinator. Upon arrival to the program, he brought 24 years of coaching experience to the Wolverine sidelines after coaching stints at high schools, Mesa Verde, Golden Sierra, Placer, Rio Americano, Del Oro and Bear River. His prior head coaching experience brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and Hilton is a vital member of the coaching staff.
He attended Ukiah High School playing football, basketball and baseball, where he was Athlete of the Year in 1984. He then transferred on to attend Cal State Sacramento getting his B.S. in Criminal Justice. He played Hornet football 1985-86, where they were conference champions.
In 2012 he was Sierra Delta League’s Coach of the Year while at Golden Sierra, their first undefeated league title.
He’s married to Julie and has two children, Olivia and Carly.
