Nao Bando Wins 2017 Individual State Championship!
Sierra’s Nao Bando, who tied for medalist honors last year but settled for the runner-up medal in a card-off, made a statement this season in posting a two-day score of 3-under-par 141 (71-70) to easily capture this year’s medalist honor. Teammate Mikia Fang posted a 76 on Monday with Emily Dixon adding an 80.
2017 Athletic Scholarship Celebration
The sixth annual Sports Scholarship Celebration was held Wednesday, May 10 in the Sierra College board room. 81 athletes from 13 different Wolverine teams were honored.
Placer Valley Tourism Donates $44,000 for Beach Volleyball Facility
Placer Valley Tourism on Tuesday night made a generous donation of $44,000 towards the construction of our new Beach Volleyball facility. The donation was made official during the Sierra College Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, August 8th.
Men's Swimming & Diving: 2017 Big 8 Champions
The defending state champion Sierra College men's swimming and diving team captured its second consecutive Big 8 conference title in dominating fashion in Stockton. Coach Breitbart was named Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
Women's Golf Win 2016 State Championship!
Down seven strokes entering final round, the Wolverines carded a 294 to top defending champion, Santa Barbara City College, by eight strokes. Congratulations to Nao Bando, Kennedy Curran, Mikia Fang, Gurman Kaur, Jessica Miller, Haley Vandenberg, Kelly Whelan and Head Coach Kim Silva!
